This center was in place to career management and transition coaching, resume review and support for participants at the conference... and over the course of the conference, over 200 individuals received help. It was an honor to participate in the LHH Career Center at the SHRM National Conference. During the event I met many talented HR professionals with stories to tell about their personal experiences in career transition.

It was great to use the LHH project model as a defining structure tailoring the conversation to the questions and issues the individual brought to the meeting. The one tool that received consistent positive response was the marketing plan. I recall several people saying that they hadn’t thought about creating a target list and using it in networking. One person sketched out a rough draft of a target list, and I was able to connect him to two people at one of his targets. That was a real kick!
