Brian Alpern

Partner, Executive Interim Management

Brian Alpern is a Partner in the Executive Interim Management Practice with LHH Knightsbridge in Toronto. His expertise is recruiting senior leaders for short-term assignments. Highly skilled at assessing talent, Brian places executives within 5-10 days to help companies address skills gaps, capacity concerns or other strategic interests, often involving major change initiatives.

 

Brian has been recognized for his strong consultative style and focus on service excellence. A direct, thoughtful communicator with a vast network, Brian prides himself on being able to attract exceptional talent to his clients. 

 

Prior to his time in executive search, Brian was a Senior Consultant in LHHKB’s career transition business. He supported corporate clients while helping individuals and groups during career transitions by providing coaching and facilitating workshops on self-assessment, self-marketing, researching, interviewing and networking. His experience as a coach, facilitator and business developer has extended throughout Canada, the U.S. and Latin America.

 

Brian has worked with clients across a broad range of sectors including across Canada, the U.S. and Latin America. He is a formally trained ICF coach, holds certifications in both Birkman Method® and DISC behaviour assessment tools and is a graduate of McGill University. Brian speaks fluent Spanish.


Bruce Diemert

Partner, Executive Search

Bruce Diemert is a Partner with LHH Knightsbridge (formerly Amrop Knightsbridge). Bruce has been in the talent management and management consulting industries since 1998. He focuses his business expertise on the industries that drive the economy in Western Canada, specifically, all resource based industries, professional services, manufacturing, and information technology companies.

For the past 9 years Bruce has managed his own firm, PAUL ALEXANDER, Talent Management Consultants Inc. With offices in Vancouver and Calgary, PAUL ALEXANDER focused on delivering executive and mid management search and, talent management consulting projects. Bruce graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in from the University of Calgary and an MBA from Dalhousie University through the Canadian Bankers Association.

Bruce is active in local community, municipal and, provincial charities highlighted by his time with the VGH/UBC Hospital Foundation, BC Children’s Hospital Foundations and the Salvation Army’s Vancouver Harbour Light facility located in Vancouver’s East side of downtown. Bruce is an avid outdoor enthusiast. Racing outrigger and dragon boat canoes both locally and internationally, skiing and boarding with his three daughters in their native North Shore mountains or in Whistler BC and, hiking in their local mountains with his wife Elayna and their chocolate lab Goose.

 


Chris Sawyer

Partner, Executive Search

Chris Sawyer is a Partner with LHH Knightsbridge (formerly Amrop Knightsbridge) who specializes in the Not-for-Profit, Public Sector and Healthcare industries. Prior to joining LHH Knightsbridge, Chris was at Highland Partners, a global executive search firm and successor to TMP Worldwide Executive Search. She began her career at a boutique search firm in London, Ontario, and was also a member of the executive search practice of KPMG.

Throughout her 25-year career in executive search, Chris has developed a very thorough and meticulous approach to search management. She has conducted numerous search mandates across a spectrum of healthcare and not-for-profit organizations including hospitals, community, government, academic, associations, and business. Chris has worked extensively with boards and leadership teams who benefit from her knowledge and her commitment to excellence in creating and executing search strategies.

Chris earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Arts from the University of Waterloo.

Ed Perkovic

Erica Tsui

Erica Tsui is a Consultant with the LHH Knightsbridge Recruitment Solutions Team in Toronto.


Erica has built her career undertaking a variety of roles in a number of industries. She has provided search execution services to clients across multiple industries and functional roles including financial services, technology, human resources, engineering, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, not-for-profit and government sectors.


A multi-lingual relationship builder with national and international experience, Erica values every conversation with her clients and candidates as she strongly believes relationships are the key to finding success and effectively fulfilling the requirements of search mandates.

Glenda Goodman

Director, Search Operations

Glenda Goodman is Director, Search Operations with LHH Knightsbridge (formerly Amrop Knightsbridge) and has been with the organization for over 17 years with a track record of driving excellence in operational efficiencies.

Glenda focuses on the growth and expansion of the business and leads the Executive Assistant Team. Glenda works closely with the VP Finance and Operations and SVP of Search and has extensive experience in Operations Management, Change Management, financial reporting and analysis, strategic planning and business process improvement. on monthly financial processes including budgeting and financial reporting.

Glenda oversees all aspects of the management, administration and operations of three Search Practices, Executive Search, Recruitment Solutions and Executive Interim Management.

Glenda’s prior experience includes project management and logistics roles in a firm specializing in the recruitment of healthcare professionals for large, teaching hospitals in the Middle East. Prior to joining LHH Knightsbridge she worked at KPMG and Korn/Ferry International.

James Smith

Partner, Executive Search

James brings an extensive business background to LHH Knightsbridge (formerly Amrop Knightsbridge) as a Partner in Executive Search, having spent the past 20 years as a President and CEO in a number of consumer focused businesses in both Canada and the U.S. His experience includes leadership roles in companies ranging from owner/operated to $1 billion in revenue.

At LHH Knightsbridge, James specializes in Pharma, Life Sciences, Cosmetics, Personal Care, CPG, Cannabis and companies in their industry ecosystems. James’ approach is to fully engage in a client’s business – taking into account trends, strategies and business/leadership nuances that will lead to significant growth and long-term success. He is passionate about matching the right fit, culture and personality for both client and candidate.

Janice Kussner

Partner, Executive Search

Janice Kussner is a Partner with LHH Knightsbridge Executive Search. Janice’s executive search and consulting experience commenced early 1997, following a career on the client side as a senior human resources executive leader.  

Janice’s executive search practice continues to be defined by successful relationships and multi-year agreements with diverse client organizations, primarily in the government and public/ broader public sector.

Janice leverages cross-sector executive leadership talent, recognizing the inherent value and return on investment of the intersection between the private and public sectors.  She has conducted assignments at the C-Suite and Board levels, and across a broad range of functional areas.

Janice has worked with diverse Selection Panels, Boards and Committees in the design and implementation of effective and results focused executive search processes. 

Janice graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Major in Marketing) and completed graduate business courses at the University of Toronto. Janice is a past Board member of Renascent.

Katherina Cameron

Executive Assistant

Katherina is an Executive Assistant in the Search Practice with ten years of experience. She supports Partners in the Technology, Pharma, CPG and General Management sectors. She also supports the LHH Knightsbridge (formerly Amrop Knightsbridge) Canadian Business Hall of Fame team in this corporate initiative.

 

Prior to joining LHH Knightsbridge, Katherina enjoyed tremendous success as a faculty member of a leading private vocational school. As a Board-Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Wellness professional, she has deep experience and expertise in complementary medicine with a focus on leading-edge research on the epigenetic effects of lived circumstances in health and wellness.


Katherina is enrolled in the Bachelor of Health Sciences, BHSc. degree program at Queen’s University. She has completed advanced courses in Law, Political Science, Nutrition and Biochemistry.


At LHH Knightsbridge, Katherina served as the co-Chair of the Health and Safety Committee. She is Birkman certified and is qualifying as a candidate for the ICF coach ACC credential.

Larry Ross

Partner, Executive Search

Over the course of Larry’s 25+ years of executive search experience – 16 as a Partner – he has led over 500 senior level search assignments. The vast industry and functional knowledge he’s gained through practicing as a generalist provides him a unique foundational platform from which he can further build his reputation as a trusted talent advisor to clients in the global Consumer and Professional Services sectors.

Larry has been particularly successful in helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses through the attraction and integration of disciplined leaders who demonstrate an ability to adapt to new and dynamic environments while leading in a journey to teach and mentor colleagues in how to adopt professional business practices

While Larry has recruited leaders of most functional areas, he is recognized for his solid track record recruiting experienced CEOs, presidents and general managers, as well as senior level leaders in all other key functional areas.

Larry holds an Honours undergraduate degree (HBA) and a Masters degree (MBA), both from Western University’s Ivey School of Business. He is the past President and a former 12-year board member of Canada’s largest seasonal not-for-profit tennis club. He and his wife live in North Toronto and are the proud parents of four children.

Lindsay Millard

Lindsay Millard is a Senior Consultant with LHH Knightsbridge (formerly Amrop Knightsbridge) Executive Search and has over 10 years of executive search experience. Lindsay has provided professional execution services to top-tier, retained, executive search firms across a variety of industries and functional roles including CPG, retail, industrial, professional and financial services, IT, telecommunications and not-for-profit sectors.

Prior to joining LHH Knightsbridge, Lindsay was a member of the largest, privately-held, global executive search firm as a member of the North American Consumer team. She brings a solid track record and disciplined approach to conducting research and executing projects at the senior executive level.

Lindsay received her B. Commerce, with a major in Finance, from Ryerson University. She has also received her Certification in the Birkman Signature Assessment program.


Lisa Knight

Directrice Générale, Recherche de Cadres

À titre d’associée directrice, Lisa a la responsabilité d’offrir un leadership stratégique à une équipe de 24 professionnels d’Amrop Knightsbridge Recherche de cadres et de la direction intérimaire de LHH Knightsbridge, répartis dans les bureaux de Toronto et de Montréal. Avant de se joindre à Amrop Knightsbridge en 2004, Lisa était associée et directrice du renouvellement du personnel et du développement chez Highland Partners (anciennement TMP Worldwide), où elle a développé les meilleures pratiques en matière de mise en œuvre de recherches ainsi que réorienté, formé et dirigé une équipe de 60 recherchistes et associés en Amérique du Nord. 
 
De plus, Lisa a joué un rôle important dans de nombreux efforts de développement commercial stratégique et mandats de recherche.  

Au début de sa carrière, Lisa a gravi les échelons un à un, puis elle est devenue associée responsable de la recherche chez Illsley Bourbonnais, Ward Howell, une firme pionnière de l’industrie canadienne de la recherche de cadres.  

Lisa détient un baccalauréat ès arts spécialisé de l’University of Toronto. Mariée et mère de 3 enfants, elle habite à Toronto, Canada.

Lizz Surajdeen

Executive Assistant

Lizz Surajdeen has been an Executive Assistant for over 23 years and in Administration for 28 + years. She has worked in Information Technology, Advertising, Healthcare and Real Estate industries prior to joining LHH Knightsbridge (formerly Amrop Knightsbridge).

She is currently one of three Executive Assistants for the LHH Knightsbridge Practice and has been in the executive search business since 2011.

Lizz is the Executive Assistant to Robert Hosking, Senior Vice President, Managing Director – Search Practices and Lisa Knight, Managing Partner and has also worked concurrently with the Recruitment Solutions – 3 years and Interim Management Services – 5.5 years.

Aside from her day to day activities on her team Lizz is the other half of Lee Hecht Harrison Knightsbridge Social Committee and keeps our company very active with multiple events throughout the year.

In her spare time Lizz designs jewelry – Lizz Dahlin and does event planning – Lady Young Events. Traveling home to Trinidad and around the world as well as cruising is a huge part of her life.

Madiha Rashid

Consultant

Madiha Rashid is a Consultant for LHH Knightsbridge (formerly Amrop Knightsbridge) Executive Search and has over 8 years of executive search experience. She has developed a solid track record in successfully searching and placing senior-level executives in a variety of industries including consumer products, financial services, retail, technology, pharmaceuticals and energy. Madiha is well versed in a broad spectrum of functional areas including human resources, finance, sales and marketing, technology, data analytics, manufacturing/operations and general management.

Prior to joining LHH Knightsbridge, Madiha was associated with a global executive search firm where she gained extensive experience on senior-level positions in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and North America. Madiha’s exposure to different cultures while residing in multiple countries has helped her inculcate a global mindset.

Madiha has a M.Sc. degree in Human Resources Management from Birkbeck, University of London, UK and holds a B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Psychology from Sunway University, Malaysia. She is a member of the Human Resources Professional Association in Canada.

Madiha is an avid travel enthusiast and an active volunteer for settling new immigrants in Canada.

Marc Deschatelets

Associé, Partner Chargé de projet

Marc Deschatelets s’est joint à LHH Knightsbridge en 2018 en tant qu’Associé responsable de la pratique de recherche de cadres à Montréal. Il cumul plus de trente années d’expériences professionnelles dont 15 en tant que consultant en recherche de cadres durant lesquelles il a recruté plusieurs de postes de gestion, haute direction et membres de conseil d’administration. Avant de se joindre à LHH Knightsbridge, il fut responsable du développement et des opérations canadiennes de la pratique de recherche de cadres d’une importante firme spécialisée en développement de talents. Marc est également chargé de cours au programme de MBA pour cadres en exercice de l’Université de Sherbrooke où il enseigne la sélection de cadres. 

 

Auparavant, il a œuvré pendant 18 années en tant que gestionnaire d’équipes locales et nationales en Marketing, Développement d’affaires et Expérience client pour des firmes canadiennes de câblodistribution (Cogeco), télécommunication (Bell, Bell International), télécommunication sans fil (Telesystem) et communication satellite.

 

Marc détient un Baccalauréat en administration de l’UQAM et un MBA de l’Université de Sherbrooke. Il est impliqué auprès du centre Laurent Beaudoin et dans le développement du programme de MBA pour cadres de l’université de Sherbrooke où il enseigne, en tant que chargé de cours, la sélection de cadres dirigeants. 


Au cours des dernières années, Marc s’est impliqué au sein de la communauté en tant membre du conseil d’administration des YMCA du Québec (Président du comité de mises en candidature et des ressources humaines) ainsi que d’Intégration jeunesse du Québec. 


Melanie Barbieri

Senior Consultant

Melanie Barbieri is a Senior Consultant at LHH Knightsbridge (formerly Amrop Knightsbridge) in Toronto. Melanie is a Generalist in the field delivering on a variety of executive level searches across all major industries including energy & utilities, technology, consumer products, financial services and retail.


Before landing in Executive Search, Melanie worked at TD Securities in the HR Department. She obtained an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from York University and a Graduate Diploma in Human Resources from George Brown College. She also maintains a CHRP designation.


Michelle Partipilo

Senior Consultant

Michelle Partipilo is a Senior Consultant for LHH Knightsbridge (formerly Amrop Knightsbridge) Executive Search and has over 14 years of executive search experience. Michelle has provided professional execution services to top-tier, retained, executive search firms across a variety of industries and functional roles including professional and financial services, IT, telecommunications, not-for-profit, retail, hospitality, CPG and the manufacturing/industrial sectors. For the past 3 years, Michelle has been an active member of the team responsible for the nomination and selection process on behalf of the annual Canadian Business Hall of Fame award.

 

Prior to joining LHH Knightsbridge, Michelle developed and operated an independent, executive search practice based in Vancouver for over 5 years. She brings a solid track record and disciplined approach to conducting research and executing projects at the senior executive level.

 

Michelle is also an active volunteer, deeply dedicated to charities helping children and animals. She was a participant in the 2015 Covenant House, Sleep Out Vancouver campaign and the 2016 Exile Island, BC Children’s Wish Foundation campaign. Most recently, she co-leads the annual Holiday Helper campaign at LHH Knightsbridge, sponsoring families to provide them the support they need during the holiday season.

 



Robert Hosking

Vice-président Principal et Directeur Général des pratiques de recherche chez LHH Knightsbridge

A highly experienced, strategic recruitment leader and sales executive, Robert Hosking is Senior Vice President, Managing Director - Search Practices at LHH Knightsbridge. A member of the senior leadership team, Robert leads the growth of the three search practices: Executive Search, Executive Interim Management and Leadership Search, with focus on setting the strategy direction, optimally organizing and aligning resources and developing approaches that will enable the teams to fully leverage the entire LHH Knightsbridge suite of solutions.

 

With an impressive record of success in developing winning growth strategies and building effective teams, Robert joined LHH Knightsbridge from Randstad USA where, as SVP Randstad General Staffing, he led the development and delivery of the Non Clinical Healthcare strategy for the US through the creation of three distinct delivery models. 


No stranger to change management and business disruption, Robert was selected one of fifteen leaders globally to participate in the first offering of Randstad’s “Transformational Leadership Program” at the London Business School. Prior to Randstad US, Robert spent 21 years at Robert Half assuming increasingly senior leadership roles including the global executive director of the Office Team brand with focus on growth strategies, operational processes, change management and brand positioning in North America, Europe and Australia.


Robert holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from University of Guelph. He has served as the Toronto Regional Immigrant Employment Council Committee Chair and the Chair for the University of Guelph Alumni.  

 

Stephen Bell

Managing Partner, Executive Interim Management

Stephen Bell is the Managing Partner in the Executive Interim Management practice with LHH Knightsbridge in Toronto.


Steve has a wealth of experience spanning a 25 year career in recruitment working in Europe and North America. He honed his skills at a top tier contingency recruitment company in the UK before opening his own boutique search firm.


Over his career Steve has demonstrated his ability to partner with his clients, to understand their culture, the challenges facing their organization and provide innovative recruitment solutions. He prides himself on his strong networks and being able to attract exceptional talent to his clients.


At LHH Knightsbridge Steve leads our public and not-for-profit Executive Interim Management practice. Last year he helped over 80 clients across a broad portfolio of senior roles by delivering exceptional talent within 3 - 5 days. He is the champion of the term ‘Strategic Interim’ and has a wealth of experience helping organizations with capacity or capability challenges.


Steve has worked across a broad range of sectors including – technology, not-for-profit, healthcare, education, energy and utilities.


Steve Koddermann

Partner, Executive Interim Management

Steve Koddermann is a Partner in the Executive Interim Management practice with LHH Knightsbridge in Toronto.

Steve has a wealth of experience spanning a nearly 20 year career in recruitment. He crafted his skills at a leading global contingency recruitment company specializing in Finance and IT, before operating his own boutique search firm. Prior to that Steve worked as an SAP Consultant at AT&T, as well as held various positions ranging from Manager, Financial Reporting to Controller at a number of organizations in the Real Estate space.  

Over his career, Steve has demonstrated an ability to partner with his clients to understand the unique challenges facing their business and provide innovative recruitment solutions, while ensuring a strong cultural fit. He prides himself on being able to attract exceptional talent for his clients by drawing upon his extensive network. All the while operating with the utmost integrity and ‘doing the right thing’.

Thomas Lee

Researcher

Tom Lee is a Researcher for LHH Knightsbridge (formerly Amrop Knightsbridge) Executive Search and has had progressive academic, business, and executive search experience. He conducts research assignments in the academic, healthcare, energy/utilities, manufacturing, financial services, insurance, government, NFP, pharmaceutical, and professional services industries.

Prior to joining LHH Knightsbridge, Tom has worked in retail management, consulting, and academia. He is a published author, having written case studies and articles in business.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Toronto, and an MBA in Strategic Management from the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia.

Tim Hewat

Partner, Executive Search

Tim is a Partner at LHH Knightsbridge (formerly Amrop Knightsbridge) with over 30 years of management experience leading marketing and sales teams in a number of industries including technology, financial services and commercial real estate. Tim focuses on building the firm’s Technology Practice (technology, media & software), as well as working with clients in the Venture Capital/Private Equity and Transportation space. Tim is also active in the Board search practice.

Tim’s consulting approach starts with gaining an understanding of his clients’ growth strategies. This business approach, underpinned by a solid search methodology, has resulted in a group of highly satisfied clients. He continues to be personally involved in every search, ensuring a tight focus on selecting the right candidate.

Since 2012 Tim has managed the annual nomination and selection process for the Canadian Business Hall of Fame. In this capacity, he is actively involved in identifying noteworthy business leaders that would be considered compelling to both the Canadian business community and to aspiring Junior Achievement students.

Tim is an advisor to Next Canada, an organization that builds world class ventures and propels Canadian technology companies. Tim earned his MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He also holds an Economics degree from Queen's University.
