Senior System Engineer - Medical Device

Our client is a medical device company based in Canton of Vaud.
This job presents new challenges allowing the successful candidate to oversee the implementation of new designs and technologies.
You will work closely with all departments: Software, Hardware, commercial, and field services, to develop programs for existing systems, future platform systems and new system technologies.
Your future responsibilities:
- Study and understand all current and upcoming system requirements, including both technical level details and overarching strategic goals and communicate this information effectively to key stakeholders to support the development
- Support development and implementation of new technologies by advising on design concepts and changes, implementation strategies and deployment timelines.
- Coordinate with engineers, software developers and systems analysts to design effective solutions that meet requirements for functionality and integration with existing component.
- Manage development, testing and deployment of FW, HW and other system core technologies to ensure compliance with operational requirements for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Research existing and emerging technologies to determine capabilities and cost-benefits relationship and develop ongoing systems solutions that meet performance and budgetary requirements.
- Create lifecycle documentation, design specifications and instructional manuals as necessary to enable personnel and end users to interact correctly and effectively with hardware and software systems. Ensure all development activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence to life cycle requirements.
Who you are :
- Primary Degree in Bio Mechanical Engineering / Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Working in a development environment with an emphasis on new medical device development. Writing product requirements and design specifications for medical device development.
- Working in close relationship with R&D development teams and 3rd party supplier to ensure assays developed could be integrated into instruments in terms of workflow and Hardware requirements.
- Technical expertise on troubleshooting of complex instrumentation
- Understanding of Medical Device Life Cycle.
- Clear, concise, effective communicator with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills
- Excellent analytical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to work in a multiple priority environment
- Proficiency in English and a good knowledge of French or German an asset
