We are currently assisting our client in their search to hire a Global Product Planner (m/f/d) in Rotkreuz.



The Global Product Planner is a critical role within the Global Supply Chain, accountable for ensuring global product availability for a defined product portfolio across all regional and central warehouse locations. This position is responsible for the accuracy of supply planning, aligned with global demand and manufacturing/supplier capabilities, while considering product lifecycle impacts. The role involves close collaboration with various functional leads and teams to manage product availability from launch through phase-out, and to proactively address potential supply challenges.



The perfect candidate:


The perfect candidate for this Global Product Planner role is a highly analytical and proactive supply chain professional with a minimum of three years of international experience in logistics, marketing, or production. They excel at mastering complex production planning methodologies (MRP, MPS, RCCP) and leveraging ERP/MRP systems (SAP PP/MM) to ensure global product availability. This individual thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders across manufacturing, regional teams, and lifecycle functions to proactively address supply challenges and drive continuous improvement.


Tasks & Responsibilities:


  • Accountable to ensure global product availability for a defined product portfolio including but not limited to availability at all regional and central warehouse locations.
  • Responsible for the creation and accuracy of the supply planning based on global demand input, aligned with manufacturing/supplier capabilities including considerations around impact of product lifecycle.
  • Liaise with functional leads and lifecycle teams to ensure product availability during launch and phase-out periods of products.
  • Set global safety levels for the defined product portfolio including but not limited to continuous monitoring thereof.
  • Responsible to provide robust recommendation to manufacturing/supplier on rough cut capacity planning (RCCP) and master production schedule (MPS)
  • Initiate escalation processes regarding global product availability as well as needed initiation of S&OP meetings for defined product portfolio.
  • Responsible for accuracy and continuous adjustment of master data (MRP).
  • Organize for global product allocations in collaboration with other supply chain functions, regional functions, lifecycle teams and manufacturing/supplier.
  • Oversee for batch reservations and other logistics interventions (incl. to ensure product flow in emergencies) for the defined product portfolio.
  • Participates in global initiatives across Dia supply chain. Where applicable, will be responsible for completing regional activities required to ensure product availability.
  •  Where applicable, assumes subject matter expert role for a product planning related process. Responsible for ensuring processes reflect real life business scenarios.

Your Profile:


  • Bachelor University degree in related field desired
  • At least 3 years in the environment of logistics, marketing or production, with an international focus.
  • Strong understanding of production planning methodologies (e.g., MRP, MPS, RCCP, Lean Manufacturing principles) and solid understanding of Logistical concepts and processes.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP PP/MM) and advanced planning tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • You use your initiative, are enthusiastic, and have very good communication skill
  • Fluent written and verbal English Language skills - any additional language is a plus
