We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) to join our client’s IT team in Zug. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping and improving modern software development practices within a highly innovative and safety-critical environment.


Our client operates in the fire safety and building technology industry, developing advanced systems that protect people, buildings, and infrastructure. You will be part of the FS40/20 ART team, contributing to the development of the FS40 fire alarm control system, a core solution in this domain.


In this role, you will focus on enhancing software engineering processes and optimizing CI/CD delivery pipelines supporting mission-critical systems. Your contribution will help drive sustainable improvements in DevOps capabilities and software development practices over the coming years.

Your Responsibilities

  • Migrate large-scale Java projects from Ant to Gradle
  • Review and optimize Git repository structures in collaboration with development teams
  • Enhance and streamline CI/CD workflows, acting as a bridge between application and platform teams
  • Increase automation within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., SBOM generation, rule enforcement, code quality checks, reporting)


Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong expertise in GitLab, CI/CD automation, and DevOps practices
  • Proven experience with Java and C++ development environments
  • Solid knowledge of Gradle and experience with Ant-to-Gradle migration
  • Experience with static code analysis and automated testing frameworks
  • Excellent understanding of Git workflows and best practices
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, or other programming languages are a plus
  • Familiarity with SBOM formats is advantageous
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work across teams, locations, and partners
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach
  • Experience working in structured, international environment
  • Languages: Fluent German and English are required.
