Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for leading the financial strategy, risk management, capital structure, and long-term financial sustainability of an operational leasing company specializing in electric motorcycles. This role will oversee financial planning, investor relations, asset-backed financing structures, fleet cost optimization, and strong compliance practices. The CFO will play a central role in scaling the leasing fleet, optimizing TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), and driving profitability across both B2B and B2C leasing channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
* Develop and execute the company’s long-term financial strategy aligned with fleet growth and leasing profitability.
* Lead financial planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting processes.
* Advise the CEO and Board on strategic financial decisions, including expansion, capital allocation, and risk exposure.
2. Capital Management & Funding
* Structure and manage funding models for fleet acquisition (e.g., asset-backed financing, sale-leaseback, revolving credit facilities).
* Lead fundraising activities, investor relations, and negotiations with lenders, leasing partners, and financial institutions.
* Optimize capital structure to support rapid fleet scaling while maintaining healthy cash flow.
3. Fleet Economics & Cost Optimization
* Build and improve models for asset depreciation, lifecycle cost, maintenance cost projections, and electric motorcycle residual value management.
* Analyze unit economics for B2B and B2C leasing products to ensure sustainable margins.
* Monitor fleet usage data and collaborate with operations to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).
4. Financial Operations & Reporting
* Oversee all accounting functions, including revenue recognition for leasing contracts, asset capitalization, and depreciation schedules.
* Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics.
* Implement strong internal controls and scalable financial systems to support growth.
5. Risk Management & Compliance
* Develop financial risk frameworks including credit risk, asset risk, insurance exposure, and customer default risk.
* Ensure compliance with local regulations related to leasing, consumer financing, tax, and asset ownership.
* Oversee insurance strategy covering fleet, customers, and corporate liability.
6. Pricing & Product Financial Design
* Partner with commercial teams to set pricing for leasing plans, subscription models, and B2B contract terms.
* Evaluate financial impact of mileage limits, payment terms, penalty structures, and service bundles.
* Use data-driven insights to optimize product profitability.
7. Team Leadership
* Build and lead a high-performing finance team (FP&A, accounting, risk, credit, treasury).
* Foster a culture of financial discipline, transparency, and performance accountability.
* Strengthen cross-functional collaboration with operations, sales, and technology teams.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
* 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience, ideally in:
- Leasing, fleet management, mobility/EV companies, fintech lending, or asset-heavy industries.
- Strong background in capital raising, debt structuring, and asset-backed financing.
- Deep understanding of unit economics, subscription models, and residual value management.
- Experience implementing financial systems and scaling financial operations.
- Exceptional analytical skills, strategic mindset, and executive-level communication.
