Head of FP&A - Manufacturing

Job Summary
The Head of FP&A will lead the financial planning and analysis function within a manufacturing organization, providing strategic insights and decision support to senior leadership. This role is critical in driving profitability, optimizing operational costs, and strengthening budgeting and forecasting processes in a production-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasts
- Develop robust financial models to support strategic planning
- Monitor and analyze variances against budget and forecasts
2. Business Partnering (Operations & Manufacturing)
- Partner closely with production, supply chain, and procurement teams
- Analyze manufacturing costs (raw materials, labor, overhead)
- Support cost optimization and operational efficiency initiatives
3. Performance Management
- Define and track key KPIs (e.g., cost per unit, OEE, inventory turnover)
- Prepare monthly management reports and performance dashboards
- Provide insights on profitability by product, line, and market
4. Strategic Analysis
- Support strategic decision-making (CAPEX investments, expansion plans)
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis
- Evaluate business cases and return on investment (ROI)
5. Reporting & Systems
- Oversee management reporting and financial analysis processes
- Enhance FP&A tools, systems, and reporting capabilities (ERP, BI tools)
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
6. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A team
- Foster a data-driven, performance-oriented culture
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, or CPA are highly desirable
- 8–12+ years of experience in FP&A or related finance roles
- Strong experience in the manufacturing sector (essential)
- Deep understanding of cost accounting and operations finance
- Prior experience in the UAE or GCC region is a plus
