THE OPPORTUNITY
The Business Unit Head, Injectable Aesthetics will drive the strategy, commercial performance, and growth of the injectable aesthetics portfolio. This role leads marketing, sales, and training teams, with a focus on product and commercial strategy, cross-functional medico-marketing, and brand optimization. Responsible for revenue growth, market expansion, and team excellence, while ensuring compliance and delivering measurable business impact. This Business Unit Head is part of the Canadian Leadership Team with five direct reports (Managers, Directors) and a team of up to 50 people, and frequent collaboration with business partners in human resources, finance, supply chain, logistics, medical affairs, regulatory, quality and commercial operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the strategic direction and execution of the Injectable Aesthetics business, delivering sustainable growth, market leadership, and long-term value aligned with corporate objectives.
- Own full P&L accountability, driving revenue growth, margin performance, forecasting accuracy, and disciplined budget management.
- Build, inspire, and develop high-performing cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, and training, providing strategic leadership for up to 50 employees. Ensure robust workforce planning, talent development, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Design and implement innovative commercial strategies, including pricing, channel optimization, customer segmentation, and go-to-market models tailored for competitive advantage.
- Advance commercial excellence initiatives to enhance sales force effectiveness, customer experience, and ROI on promotional investments.
- Steer brand strategy and portfolio management, including lifecycle innovation, optimization across the injectable portfolio, and the successful launch of new products.
- Foster innovation across the business, ensuring differentiation, competitive positioning, and strategic evolution of the product pipeline.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key opinion leaders, aesthetic physicians, major accounts, and strategic partners to strengthen market presence and influence.
- Continuously assess market trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics to identify, prioritize, and capture growth opportunities.
- Leverage data analytics, performance indicators, and competitive intelligence to guide decision-making and maximize business outcomes.
- Ensure all commercial activities uphold regulatory, ethical, and compliance standards, safeguarding the integrity of the business.
- Represent the business unit externally at industry events, advisory boards, and strategic forums to elevate visibility and thought leadership.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to support business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
- International commercial leadership experience within the aesthetics industry, spanning marketing, sales, and/or broader commercial roles.
- Deep expertise in the global aesthetics and medical device markets, including market trends, competitive dynamics, pricing models, regulatory environments, and stakeholder relationship management.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA or relevant master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Completion of, or active participation in, an executive leadership development program, demonstrating advanced strategic, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven P&L ownership with strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and profitability management.
- Demonstrated ability to build and execute commercial and marketing strategies that drive accelerated and sustainable growth.
- At least two years of experience leading robust marketing strategies, including digital strategy, brand repositioning, and/or portfolio optimization.
- High proficiency in data analysis and market insights, with the ability to turn analytics into actionable business decisions.
- Extensive experience leading cross-functional teams, including objective setting, coaching, performance management, and talent development.
- Strong people leadership capabilities, with a track record of motivating teams and building succession pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly; French proficiency is an asset.
- Ability to travel as required, approximately up to 30%.
