We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Content Editor (m/f/d) to join our customer’s Digital Marketing and Sales Enablement team based in Rotkreuz.

 

Position Title: Digital Content Editor (m/f/d)

Location: Zug area, Switzerland (Hybrid: 2 days remote per week)

Start Date: asap

Description:  Background:


The Digital Content Creation Manager plays a critical role in shaping and executing our customer’s digital content strategy across global promotional channels. This position is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing high-quality content that elevates our customer’s position as a thought leader, supports product marketing, and promotes awareness and engagement with our diagnostic solutions, including B2B and B2C audiences.’

This role is not only about content production but about stewarding content excellence. The Digital Content Creation Manager will work cross-functionally with Marketing Managers, Product Managers, SEO experts, and other key stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment, consistency, and regulatory compliance across all digital content initiatives. They will help uphold the quality and tone of our customer’s digital presence while taking an active role in channel performance analysis, optimization strategies, and campaign planning support.

 

The perfect candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and demonstrates prior experience within a matrix organization in diagnostics. Furthermore, the individual must exhibit a proven aptitude for content creation and management across diverse digital platforms, alongside robust editorial competencies encompassing copywriting, copyediting, and meticulous proofreading. The candidate should also display exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling them to effectively solicit and synthesize stakeholder input into actionable content. The ability to manage agency/freelancer collaborations and ensure content quality and brand alignment is essential. Finally, native English proficiency with superior written and verbal communication skills is a prerequisite.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Content strategy and management
    • Lead platform strategies for key content marketing channels in close collaboration with Digital Marketing Managers, ensuring alignment with our customer’s strategic priorities, brand consistency, and measurable impact.
    • Manage team editorial calendars to deliver high-quality content—such as thought leadership, product pages, and launch materials-on time and in coordination with global marketing objectives
    • Use performance insights and stakeholder input to continuously refine strategic direction and content deliverables
  • Content Creation, Review, and Optimization
    • Work with in-house and external partners to deliver engaging, high-quality digital assets such as product pages, ebooks, case studies, infographics and videos, tailored to target audiences
    • Curate, edit, and fact-check content for accuracy, readability, and regulatory compliance
    • Enhance and align web content with best practices and recommendations from SEO specialists to increase visibility and rankings
    • Repurpose and adapt content into multiple formats to extend reach and effectiveness across digital channels and audiences
    • Continuously optimize content using channel performance metrics and audience insights
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
    • Partner with marketing managers, product managers, SEO specialists, designers, and campaign leads to ensure unified storytelling and digital execution
    • Participate in strategic discussions to evaluate campaign performance and content impact
    • Communicate strategy, performance, and key messaging plans to internal and affiliate stakeholders for alignment and feedback
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management
    • Manage content production vendors, freelancers, and creative agencies to deliver quality assets on time and within budget
    • Ensure third-party vendors follow legal, procurement, and brand compliance processes
  • Governance, Brand, and Process Excellence
    • Maintain and enforce content guidelines and tools to ensure brand voice, tone, and style consistency across all platforms
    • Lead or contribute to our customer’s editorial boards, contributing to strategy and channel planning  
    • Leverage data-driven insights to optimize content strategies and improve engagement across customer segments
    • Promote digital content best practices across the division and contribute to process improvement initiatives

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Life Sciences, or related field
  • 4+ years of professional experience in digital content creation, content marketing, or editorial roles
  • Experience working in a matrix organization in healthcare, life sciences, diagnostics, or another regulated environment and familiarity with content compliance (legal, brand, medical) is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with product marketing and customer journey content for B2B, B2C, or B2B2C audiences
  • Proven ability to create and manage content across multiple digital platforms (web, email, social, campaign microsites)
  • Strong editorial skills, including copywriting, copyediting, and proofreading with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to translate complex technical/scientific concepts into engaging, customer-appropriate content
  • Native English speaker (or equivalent fluency), with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of SEO best practices, user experience principles, and digital content performance metrics
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to gather input from stakeholders and synthesize it into actionable content
  • Ability to manage agency/freelancer collaboration and ensure content quality and brand alignment

Nice to Have:

  •  A master’s degree is a plus, especially in a scientific discipline
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), editorial calendars, and project management tools
  • Experience working with global teams and adapting content for regional/local
