1) Define the mandate clearly

6) Plan knowledge transfer from day one

Require playbooks, process maps and stakeholder briefings; pair the interim with someone senior internally for a capability uplift.

The UK hiring climate remains mixed: permanent placements are softer, while temporary recruitment provides agility as organisations manage uncertainty, use this window to secure high calibre interims quickly.
