An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified lawyer with 0-4 years' post-qualification experience to join a high-performing Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) team within a global law firm.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of technology-driven transactions, supporting high-profile and business-critical projects while developing both technical expertise and commercial acumen in a collaborative setting.
The Opportunity
You will join a nationally integrated TMT practice, working closely with colleagues across transactional, advisory, and disputes specialisms. The team advises on a wide spectrum of commercial arrangements that underpin organisational operations and digital transformation-from software licensing and SaaS agreements to complex outsourcing and emerging technology implementations.
This role provides a balance of day-to-day advisory work and involvement in large-scale transformation programmes across diverse sectors, such as financial services, energy, technology, retail, and education. You will benefit from early responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to contribute to innovative work in a rapidly evolving field.
Key Responsibilities
In this varied role, you will support the delivery of high-quality, commercially focused legal advice, including:
- Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial technology agreements (e.g. SaaS, outsourcing, collaboration arrangements)
- Assisting with complex digital transformation and implementation projects
- Collaborating with colleagues across other legal disciplines, including employment, competition, and regulatory
- Advising on technology and data arrangements within regulated environments
- Building and maintaining client relationships, and supporting business development initiatives
- Working with colleagues across an international network on cross-border matters
About the Team
The TMT practice operates as a unified team across multiple locations, combining expertise in commercial transactions, data advisory, and disputes. The team works on a wide range of technology and data-related matters, including emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and innovative data-sharing models.
You will be part of a collaborative and client-focused team supporting a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients on strategically important and transformative projects.
