An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Associate (3+ PQE) to join the London office of a highly regarded international law firm.

The firm's Employment team is recognised as one of the leading practices in the market, advising an impressive portfolio of clients across the financial services, healthcare, commercial and public sectors. The team is consistently ranked among the UK's leading employment practices and is known for delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice on a broad range of contentious and advisory matters.

This role offers exposure to high-profile clients and complex, high-value work, making it an ideal opportunity for an ambitious employment lawyer looking to further develop their career within a collaborative and well-established team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising employer clients on a broad spectrum of employment law issues, with a particular focus on financial services organisations.
  • Managing Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation, including discrimination, whistleblowing and contractual disputes.
  • Supporting clients on business reorganisations, redundancy programmes, TUPE transfers and other strategic workforce projects, both in the UK and internationally.
  • Delivering practical, day-to-day employment law advice to clients across a range of sectors.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, trainees and paralegals.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships through business development, networking and the delivery of client training and seminars.
  • Contributing to the wider success of the team through knowledge sharing, internal training and other non-billable initiatives.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in employment law.
  • Experience advising commercial organisations, ideally including multinational businesses.
  • A solid background in Employment Tribunal litigation and contentious employment matters.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build lasting client relationships.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine enthusiasm for working as part of a successful team.
