We are partnered with a well-regarded, leading national law firm who are looking to appoint a talented Employment lawyer to their team in Edinburgh. Here, you will gain exposure to high-profile clients and learn from experienced partners across a local and national basis. You will have real responsibility from an early stage with veritable client contact.
We are recruiting Employment Solicitors with at least 1PQE. Due to the pipeline of work, we are considering applicants with a higher level of experience.
The Team
The employment team is one of the largest in the UK and plays an active role in shaping employment law, contributing to a range of professional organisations and committees.
The team advises FTSE 100 and 250 listed companies, major public sector employers, and growing startups, as well as non-profit organisations and senior executives. Work includes high-profile and business-critical matters, such as identifying and managing ESG risks and opportunities.
In addition to advising on all aspects of employment law, the team offers a wide range of value-added services, including a strong training programme. The team also handles the full range of employment tribunal and civil litigation matters, including team moves and enforcement of restrictive covenants.
The Edinburgh team is fully integrated within the national Employment Department, offering collaboration across a broader client base and access to senior leadership within the team.
What you'll need
- Relevant experience working on employment matters
- Ability to work effectively within a large, collaborative team and directly with clients
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a complex workload
- Self-motivation and eagerness to learn
- Qualification as a lawyer in the UK
