Learning & Development Consultant

12-18 Month FTC or Contract Opportunity £60,000-£65,000 + Expenses OR Up to £500 per day UK Wide | Home-Based with National Travel

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning & Development Consultant to join a large, multi-site organisation that is making a significant investment in leadership, management, and talent development across its UK operations.

Following a period without major programme roll outs, the business is now launching a range of people development initiatives designed to strengthen leadership capability, enhance performance, and support future talent pipelines.

We are looking for passionate and credible L&D professionals who thrive on delivering engaging learning experiences and partnering with stakeholders to drive organisational capability.

The Role

Working as part of a dedicated Organisational Development and Learning team, you will support the delivery and continuous improvement of programmes focused on:

• Leadership Development
• Management Training
• Talent Management
• Succession Planning
• Performance & Goal Setting
• Workforce Ups killing
• Employee Development Initiatives

Programmes will be delivered through a blended approach, including:

• Face-to-face workshops
• Virtual learning sessions
• Experiential and activity-based learning
• Small cohort programmes

Regular travel will be required to sites across the UK, with all travel and accommodation fully expensed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging leadership and management development programmes.
• Facilitate both virtual and classroom-based learning sessions.
• Adapt, refine, and enhance existing learning content.
• Support the design of new learning interventions where required.
• Build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the business.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Evaluate learning effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.

About You

You will be an experienced L&D professional with a genuine passion for developing people and helping organisations build capability.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in Learning & Development, Organisational Development, or Leadership Development.
• Strong facilitation and training delivery skills.
• Experience designing or adapting learning content and programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• A commercial and practical approach to learning solutions.
• The confidence and credibility to engage with leaders at all levels.

Desirable

• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial, utilities, or heavy industry environments.
• Exposure to talent management and succession planning initiatives.
• Relevant L&D, coaching, facilitation, or leadership development qualifications.
