Location: Manchester, North West ,Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Principal Planning Lawyer to join a highly regarded planning and environment team based in Manchester. This role would suit a senior planning specialist looking to take on a leadership position advising developers, landowners and public sector clients on complex planning matters.

The Role

• Advising on all aspects of planning law, including S106 agreements, CPOs, judicial reviews and planning appeals
• Supporting major regeneration, infrastructure and mixed-use development projects across the North West and beyond
• Leading on complex planning negotiations with local authorities and other stakeholders
• Line management and supervision of junior planning lawyers
• Involvement in business development and profile-raising within the planning sector

About You

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with significant planning law experience
• Track record of advising on large-scale or complex development and infrastructure projects
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• A genuine interest in the regeneration and development of the North West region
