About the Opportunity

A highly regarded commercial law firm is seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join its established Private Client team. This opportunity is suitable for candidates from Newly Qualified level up to 5 years' PQE who are looking to develop their expertise within a sophisticated private wealth practice.

The successful candidate will advise a broad client base, including business owners, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and their families, on a range of complex private client matters.

The Role

The position offers exposure to a varied and high-quality caseload across several areas of private client work, including:

  • Advising business owners, high-net-worth individuals and families on succession and wealth planning matters.
  • Drafting wills, including those involving business assets, discretionary trusts and life interest trusts.
  • Providing inheritance tax planning advice, including matters involving Business Property Relief.
  • Managing probate matters and the administration of estates.
  • Advising on Court of Protection applications and related matters.
  • Preparing and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney for both personal and business affairs.

The successful candidate will play an important role within a collaborative team, delivering a high standard of technical advice and client service.

Candidate Profile

Applications are welcomed from solicitors with between NQ and 5 years' PQE who can demonstrate experience in one or more of the key areas outlined above.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A client-focused and empathetic approach.
  • Good commercial awareness and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong organisational and case management skills.
  • A conscientious and proactive work ethic.
  • An ambition to develop a long-term career in private client law within a commercial legal environment.

STEP qualification is desirable, although candidates currently working towards qualification will also be considered.
