LHH is delighted to be supporting a leading national law firm in the appointment of a Real Estate Associate or Senior Associate to join its well regarded Northern real estate team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high performing and collaborative practice that advises on a broad range of commercial property matters. The team has a particularly strong reputation in development led transactions, investment acquisitions and disposals, property finance, and strategic land work, and acts for a wide range of clients including developers, investors, landowners, funders and occupiers.
Our client combines the strength and resource of a large national platform with the benefit of strong regional relationships and market insight. The team is known for delivering commercial, pragmatic and solutions focused advice on complex and high value transactions across the full property lifecycle.
The opportunity
Working as part of a respected and growing Northern team, you will be involved in a varied caseload of high quality real estate matters and will play a key role in supporting clients on strategic and business critical transactions.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Advising on a broad range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, development projects, investment work, property finance matters, and landlord and tenant instructions
  • Managing matters from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring strong technical delivery and a high standard of client service
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing clear and commercially focused advice aligned to their objectives
  • Building and developing strong client relationships and contributing to wider business development activity
  • Working closely with colleagues across other practice areas, including planning, construction, corporate, banking and tax, to provide joined up advice on multi disciplinary matters
  • For those at Senior Associate level, supporting and mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth and development of the team
About you
The successful candidate is likely to be a commercially minded real estate lawyer with solid transactional experience and a collaborative approach.
You will ideally have:
  • A minimum of 4 years' PQE
  • Strong technical experience across transactional real estate work, with particular exposure to development matters, whether residential or commercial
  • The ability to manage multiple matters effectively while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • A pragmatic and commercial mindset, with the confidence to work directly with clients and understand their wider business priorities
  • An interest in business development and building long term relationships with clients and intermediaries
  • Strong communication skills and a team focused approach
