SQL Server DBA

We are hiring for one of our clients an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join a challenging international environment supporting critical systems.

You will play a key role in managing and optimizing database environments while supporting application teams on a daily basis.

Your responsibilities

As an SQL DBA, you will:

• Administer Microsoft SQL Server environments (virtualized infrastructure)
• Provide daily support to application teams
• Support application releases and manage changes
• Monitor and optimize database performance
• Troubleshoot incidents and ensure system stability
• Plan capacity and anticipate resource needs
• Maintain procedures and technical documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation across multiple database technologies

Technical skills

• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as SQL Server DBA
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server (Always On, HA environments)
• Experience with Windows Server environments
• Expertise in performance tuning, troubleshooting and database security
• Experience with scripting / automation
• Familiarity with ITSM tools and ITIL framework

Nice to have

• Exposure to other databases (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Experience in financial or critical environments

Languages

• Fluent English required
