Tax & Reporting supervisor

We are seeking a Tax & Reporting supervisor to our client, a dynamic, industrial and internationally-focused company for their finance team in Luxembourg, on a temporary contract basis and a permanent contract if the candidate fits with the role.

Responsibilities:

• Proficiency in Financial software (SAP is a plus),
• Advanced Excel,
• Fluency in English and Italian (written + spoken).

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 7-10 years in indirect tax compliance

Your profile:

• PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Indirect taxes:

• Monitor and review preparation of the VAT returns and recapitulative statements for several jurisdictions (BE, LU, IT, SP, DE, FR, NL, PL),
• Ensure compliance with local and European legislation,
• Provide indirect tax advice to organization (Sales, AP, Logistic)
• Responsible for the preparation of statistic reporting,
• Liaise with VAT authorities during tax audits,
• Support initiatives for VAT compliance automation,
• Develop staff (4 employees) by providing technical support, reviewing tax returns.

Financial reporting:

• Monitor and review preparation of the monthly and quarterly financial statements,
• Ensure compliance (IFRS), identify reporting discrepancies,
• Supervise analysts on reporting tools,
• Liaise with the group auditors.
