About the Role
We are seeking a Sales Representative to support and expand our client’s commercial presence across the African market within the plastic packaging industry. The role focuses on active prospecting, new business development, and building strong commercial relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and industrial clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, promoting plastic packaging solutions, and supporting the full sales cycle. This is a field-driven, growth-oriented role that requires strong market understanding, hands-on sales capability, and the ability to operate independently across various African countries.
- Experience in active field sales in African markets
- Existing customer contacts in relevant sectors (packaging, FMCG, food, chemicals, industrial)
- Fluent English
- French or Arabic fluency
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of African market structure, business culture, and trade practices
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Hands-on, self-driven, comfortable working independently across multiple countries
- Experience in plastic packaging, rigid packaging, closures, caps, buckets, bottles, or similar product categories
- Willingness to travel frequently within Africa
- Actively identify and approach potential customers, distributors, and partners across key African markets
- Conduct field visits, customer meetings, product presentations, and negotiations
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, pricing input, follow-ups, and closing deals
- Develop a strong sales pipeline and report market opportunities regularly
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and ensure repeat business
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer needs
- Support export and logistics teams in Türkiye with order coordination and documentation
- Represent the company at customer sites, trade events, and regional meetings
- Provide timely reporting: sales activities, forecasts, visit notes, and market insights
