Position: Consumer Loan Servicing Technician (Temporary)
Status: Non-Exempt | Onsite | $22 per hour
Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Location: Sacramento, CA
General Description:
We are seeking a temporary Consumer Loan Servicing Technician to support loan servicing operations and provide excellent customer service. This role involves handling inbound calls, processing consumer loan requests, and managing vehicle title documentation. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a high volume of paper vehicle titles, including cataloging and disposition (up to 10,000 California titles).
Process requests related to consumer loans submitted through multiple channels, including phone, email, mail, and internal queues.
Provide accurate and timely support on loan servicing activities such as payoffs, loan maintenance, insurance payouts, and reconveyance processing.
Process and file DMV paperwork, vehicle title requests, and other related documentation.
Perform loan adjustments, amortizations, and research tasks as needed.
Communicate with members, dealers, financial institutions, title companies, and state agencies to resolve issues.
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, including consumer protection, privacy, and anti-money laundering requirements.
Support system testing, process improvements, and documentation updates.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment while supporting the training of new staff.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of experience in a financial institution, with background in customer service, loan servicing, and/or title management.
Experience with DMV paperwork, vehicle title servicing, or real estate reconveyance preferred.
Strong multitasking, organizational, and follow-up skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn internal systems quickly.
Ability to work independently and handle high-volume tasks with accuracy.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of consumer loan products.
Familiarity with vehicle titling regulations.
Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Other Requirements:
Must have a valid California driver’s license.
Ability to sit for extended periods, perform extensive data entry, and occasionally move within the department.
Pay Details: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
