Accountant
We are seeking a qualified Accounting Associate (Junior Accountant) to work for a great company in the Ronkonkoma, NY area.
This is a Direct Hire, In Office Role.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our team in Ronkonkoma. This role is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting and finance functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Assist in budget preparation and tracking
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support
Stay current on accounting principles and regulations; recommend process improvements
Assist the Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue accounts monthly
Communicate changes in financial information to relevant stakeholders
Escalate issues to management as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
1–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong understanding of accounting figures and concepts
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities
Salary- Depending on Experience—$55-65K.
