Senior Accountant

Are you a seasoned accounting professional with experience from the construction or engineering industry? Do you have at least five years of accounting experience and want to support a great team? We are looking for a senior accountant professional for an onsite role here in San Francisco, CA. Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations

• Oversee project and job cost accounting for engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and project profitability reports

• Maintain and support Deltek system functionality, including project setup, cost tracking, revenue recognition, and reporting

• Collaborate with project managers to review budgets, labor utilization, WIP, and project forecasts

• Support audits, tax filings, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5+ years of accounting experience within the engineering, architecture, or professional services industry

• Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint and/or Deltek Vision required

• Strong understanding of project accounting, revenue recognition, and job costing

• Advanced Excel skills and experience preparing financial and management reports

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
