Accountant/Bookkeeper

LHH has partnered with a healthcare-focused nonprofit in Montgomery County, MD to identify a Resident Funds Accountant! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, customer service, and experience with Medicare/Medicaid. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage fiduciary accounts, ensure compliance with regulations, effectively manage time, and provide exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage fiduciary accounts and control outgoing expenses and deposits.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
Prepare and review financial documents.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fiduciary accounts.
Assist clients with Medicare/Medicaid applications and related documentation.
Conduct regular audits of fiduciary accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and/or banking.
Strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations preferred.
Excellent customer service skills with a client-focused approach.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
