LHH has partnered with a healthcare-focused nonprofit in Montgomery County, MD to identify a Resident Funds Accountant! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, customer service, and experience with Medicare/Medicaid. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage fiduciary accounts, ensure compliance with regulations, effectively manage time, and provide exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage fiduciary accounts and control outgoing expenses and deposits.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.

  • Prepare and review financial documents.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fiduciary accounts.

  • Assist clients with Medicare/Medicaid applications and related documentation.

  • Conduct regular audits of fiduciary accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and/or banking.

  • Strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations preferred.

  • Excellent customer service skills with a client-focused approach.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
