Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Location: Downtown Jacksonville, FL 32209
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000 annually (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our team in downtown Jacksonville. This is a full-time, onsite position offering stability, growth potential, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative office environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and experience handling day-to-day financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Prepare and distribute invoices, checks, and financial reports
- Support the accounting team with audits and other projects as needed
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments and billing
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Pay Details: $45,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year
