LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced manager to oversee our client’s AR and AP Specialists. This is a hands-on role that will oversee 2 AR Specialists and 1 AP Specialist. Ideal candidates will have at least a year or two of supervisory or Team lead experience. This position is direct hire and will pay between $80K and $95K annually.
Responsibilities
- Manage and actively participate in accounts receivable and accounts payable processing, remaining hands-on with daily transactions.
- Supervise two accounts receivable billing specialists and one accounts payable specialist, providing daily direction and support.
- Oversee project-based billing activities to ensure invoices are prepared accurately, timely, and in accordance with contract terms.
- Review and approve billing schedules, supporting documentation, adjustments, and corrections.
- Resolve complex billing issues and discrepancies by partnering with internal teams and external contacts.
- Oversee cash application, collections efforts, and customer account reconciliations.
- Manage and assist with accounts payable activities, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, approval workflows, and payment terms.
- Support month-end close activities related to receivables, unbilled revenue, and payables.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and assist with audits and internal inquiries.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
- Serve as an escalation point for billing and payment issues and collaborate closely with leadership and project teams.
Qualifications
- Prior experience supervising accounts receivable and accounts payable staff
- Bachelor or Associate degree in business is preferred but not required with appropriate experience.
- Hands-on experience with project or contract-based billing
- Strong understanding of contract terms, billing compliance, and revenue recognition principles
- Experience managing high-volume transactional environments with competing deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and spreadsheet tools
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with active transaction processing.
