Houston, TX | Hybrid (1 WFH day/week)
$150K–$170K base + bonus
An established professional services firm is hiring an Accounting Manager to lead day?to?day accounting operations and partner closely with leadership. This role blends hands?on accounting, billing oversight, and team leadership in a structured, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own month?end close, reconciliations, and financial accuracy
Oversee billing and revenue activity, including adjustments and issue resolution
Manage accounts payable, vendor payments, and expense workflows
Serve as a go?to accounting partner for internal stakeholders
Identify process improvements and support system enhancements
Lead and develop a small accounting/billing team
What They’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA strongly preferred (or very close to completion)
10+ years of accounting experience including leadership responsibility
Law firm or professional services accounting experience
Strong understanding of billing and revenue processes
