Accounting Specialist – Contract-to-Hire| $26–$28/hr | Fort Worth, TX (Onsite)

Location: Fort Worth, TX 76140 (onsite only – car will get dusty!)
Join a hands-on, fast-paced parts fabrication company as an Accounting Specialist reporting directly to the President. This is a contract-to-hire role with a 40-hour workweek (7:30 AM–4:30 PM). The office is located on-site in a fabrication yard—expect a rugged environment with a no-frills setup.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform intermediate accounting tasks including reconciliations, job costing, budgeting, and audit support.
Manage full-cycle AP/AR, billing, collections, and vendor payments using QuickBooks and Excel.
File quarterly tax reports (941, 940, TX Unemployment, Sales Tax) and annual IRS forms (W-2, 1099, etc.).
Support project administration including lien waivers, vendor credit apps, and billing coordination.
Maintain petty cash, reconcile credit cards, and assist with financial reporting and cleanup.
Requirements:
5+ years of accounting experience (construction industry preferred).
Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong Excel skills required.
Must be sharp, adaptable, and comfortable working directly with a fast-talking, detail-oriented owner.
Credit check required; background check possible. No drug screening.
