Accounting Specialist (AP/AR)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with our client to hire an experienced Accounting Specialist to support full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity requiring onsite work daily. We are seeking someone with strong tenure and hands-on experience across both AP and AR. This is a contract to hire role and this is a key role in the office as you will be the go to person locally for accounting and office support tasks.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

  • Process invoices, set up new vendors, and maintain vendor records

  • Manage bill payments and weekly check runs

  • Reconcile AP aging and resolve discrepancies

  • Handle employee expense reports

  • Prepare and process 1099s

Accounts Receivable

  • Generate billing and invoices

  • Manage collections and customer follow-up

  • Apply cash and post payments accurately

  • Reconcile AR accounts and investigate variances

General Accounting / Office Support

  • Prepare journal entries

  • Reconcile bank accounts

  • Assist with account reconciliations and month-end support

  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing and ordering office supplies

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of accounting experience with strong AP and AR exposure

  • Proven experience with full-cycle AP and AR processes

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work onsite daily

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
