Accounting Specialist (AP/AR) –
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with our client to hire an experienced Accounting Specialist to support full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity requiring onsite work daily. We are seeking someone with strong tenure and hands-on experience across both AP and AR. This is a contract to hire role and this is a key role in the office as you will be the go to person locally for accounting and office support tasks.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
Process invoices, set up new vendors, and maintain vendor records
Manage bill payments and weekly check runs
Reconcile AP aging and resolve discrepancies
Handle employee expense reports
Prepare and process 1099s
Accounts Receivable
Generate billing and invoices
Manage collections and customer follow-up
Apply cash and post payments accurately
Reconcile AR accounts and investigate variances
General Accounting / Office Support
Prepare journal entries
Reconcile bank accounts
Assist with account reconciliations and month-end support
Perform administrative tasks such as filing and ordering office supplies
Qualifications:
10+ years of accounting experience with strong AP and AR exposure
Proven experience with full-cycle AP and AR processes
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work onsite daily
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
