Accounting Specialist

LHH Recruitment is partnering with a company in Downtown Phoenix who is in search of an accounting specialist to join their team. This job is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, and will offer a little hybrid flexibility after you are fully trained. The salary range is $52,000-$58,000.

This role will focus heavily on general ledger (GL) activities and account reconciliations, supporting the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a collaborative and stable environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
  • Maintain and support general ledger activities, including journal entries and adjustments
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and improve processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on GL and reconciliations
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred)
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Pay Details: $52,000.00 to $57,000.00 per year
