LHH Recruitment is partnering with a company in Downtown Phoenix who is in search of an accounting specialist to join their team. This job is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, and will offer a little hybrid flexibility after you are fully trained. The salary range is $52,000-$58,000.
This role will focus heavily on general ledger (GL) activities and account reconciliations, supporting the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a collaborative and stable environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- Maintain and support general ledger activities, including journal entries and adjustments
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and improve processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on GL and reconciliations
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred)
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
