Accounting Specialist (Contract)
Location: Riverside, CA
Schedule: Fully Onsite
Pay: $24 – $26/hour (depending on experience)
Contract Length: 3–5 months
About the Role:
We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role will support daily accounting operations and assist with financial reporting while providing hands-on support to the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness
Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries
Review and verify invoices, expense reports, and supporting documentation
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly
Maintain organized and accurate financial records (digital and paper)
Support the accounting team with reporting and other projects as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of accounting experience (AP/AR required)
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar preferred)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work onsite in Riverside, CA for the full duration of the contract
