LHH is partnering with a small but growing company that is looking for an Accounting Specialist. Your main responsibilities will be handling accounts payable and payroll tasks. However, since you will be joining a small team, you will need to be willing to cross-train and help out with all tasks in the department. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of accounting experience and will be excited to partner closely with the other accounting professionals. You need to have high attention to detail and have a flexible attitude to pivot direction quickly when needed. This position offers a beautiful office with free parking and an opportunity to grow your skill set.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process high volume vendor invoices accurately and timely, including coding, approvals, and data entry
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts; research and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and execute weekly check runs and electronic payments
  • Maintain vendor records, including W 9s and payment terms
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues professionally
  • Assist with month end close activities related to AP, including accruals and reconciliations
  • Process regular payroll cycles, including hourly and salaried employees
  • Review timesheets and payroll data for accuracy, compliance, and completeness
  • Administer payroll adjustments, deductions, reimbursements, and garnishments
  • Assist with account reconciliations and general ledger entries
  • Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to requests
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • At least four years of experience in an accounting position
  • Proficiency with accounting and payroll software; strong Excel skills
  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced setting

Pay Details: $35.00 to $37.00 per hour
