LHH is partnering with a small company that is looking for a temporary to hire Accounting Specialist for their team. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of accounting experience and be comfortable with a variety of tasks. You will get to assist with invoicing, expenses, reconciliations, and billing. Since you will be coordinating with a variety of individuals inside and outside the organization, professional communication skills are crucial. This position is fully onsite in downtown Seattle, WA. A fully subsidized orca card will be provided when you are converted to a permanent employee.

Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries and supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Monitor account balances, investigate discrepancies, and resolve variances in a timely manner
- Manage employee expenses, coordinate approvals and ensure adherence to travel policies
- Reach out to clients for missing payments and maintain the aging report
- Additional tasks as needed
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Four or more years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and internal controls
- Professional communication skills
