A growing organization in the Winston-Salem area is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist for a contract assignment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting work, thrives in a deadline-driven setting, and can step in quickly to support critical financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Enter and maintain accurate financial data within the ERP/accounting system
Perform account reconciliations, including bank and GL accounts
Review invoices, expense reports, and supporting documentation for accuracy
Research and resolve discrepancies with vendors, customers, and internal teams
Assist with month-end close activities and reporting support
Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit readiness
Support ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
1–3+ years of accounting experience (AP, AR, or general accounting)
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits)
Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (ERP/QuickBooks/SAP a plus)
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
