Accounts Payable Accountant

Location: Glendora
Compensation: $26 – $32/hour (DOE)
Employment Type: Direct Hire


Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, with a strong focus on Accounts Payable, General Ledger reconciliation, and journal entries. This role will work with both paper and paperless invoice processes and play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable invoices (paper and electronic), ensuring proper coding and approvals

  • Manage invoice workflows, including scanning, filing, and maintaining organized digital records

  • Perform General Ledger (GL) reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and reclasses

  • Support month-end close processes and ensure timely completion of tasks

  • Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies

  • Assist with payment processing (checks, ACH, wire transfers)

  • Maintain vendor records and support audit requests as needed

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve invoice and payment issues

  • Identify opportunities to improve AP and accounting processes


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • 2+ years of accounting experience, including AP and GL responsibilities

  • Experience handling both paper and paperless invoice systems

  • Strong understanding of journal entries and account reconciliations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment



Pay Details: $26.00 to $32.00 per hour
