  • Ensure invoices are properly approved, accurately coded, and aligned with internal policies

  • Maintain vendor records, including W‑9 documentation and compliance requirements

  • Perform AP‑related reconciliations, including vendor statements, clearing accounts, and accruals

  • Support month‑end close by preparing AP schedules, resolving open items, and assisting with variance research

  • Partner with internal departments to resolve discrepancies, clarify charges, and improve invoice workflows

  • Assist with audit requests by providing documentation and support related to accounts payable activity

  • Participate in process improvement efforts, particularly around system usage, documentation, and efficiency

  • Adapt to evolving systems and workflows in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field)

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or accounting roles

  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and internal controls

  • Experience working in high‑volume, multi‑department environments

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas)

  • Experience with accounting systems; ability to adapt during system transitions

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Workday, or similar platforms

  • Experience supporting audits or compliance reviews

  • Comfort working onsite as part of a collaborative accounting team

Why This Role

  • Stable organization providing essential services to the community

  • Structured accounting team with experienced leadership

  • Opportunity to deepen accounting knowledge beyond transactional AP

  • Clear expectations, strong processes, and long‑term growth potential
