LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in St. Louis, MO. This is an entry?level accounting role responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. This position plays a key role in maintaining financial records, ensuring invoice accuracy, and supporting day?to?day accounting operations. Ideal for candidates beginning a career in accounting or finance.
 
Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Type: Direct Hire/Permanent
Location: St. Louis, MO (on-site)
Schedule: Monday - Friday
 
Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 annual salary. Bonuses on top of base

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure correct coding
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts when applicable
  • Assist with preparing and processing check runs and electronic payments
  • Maintain organized and accurate vendor files and payment records
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and assist with resolving invoice discrepancies
  • Reconcile vendor statements and identify outstanding issues
  • Support month?end close activities related to accounts payable
  • Assist with expense report processing and documentation
  • Adhere to internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance requirements
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 0-1+ years of accounting, clerical, or administrative experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting or bookkeeping principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle repetitive tasks accurately
  • Data entry accuracy
  • Time management and prioritization
  • Professional written and verbal communication
  • Problem?solving and follow?up skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year
