Accounts Payable Specialist – 1st Shift
$28–$31 per hour | Direct Hire Opportunity
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a 1st‑shift direct hire role with one of our clients. This position is ideal for a seasoned AP professional who has 7–8 years of full‑cycle AP experience, strong vendor management skills, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment. If you’re detail‑oriented, efficient, and confident managing high‑volume AP workflows, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Handle full‑cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, coding, 3‑way matching, and routing for approvals.
Process high‑volume invoices accurately and on schedule.
Research and resolve discrepancies, pricing issues, and vendor disputes.
Manage vendor relationships and maintain up‑to‑date records of payment terms and outstanding balances.
Prepare and execute payment runs (checks, ACH, wires).
Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate AP aging.
Support month‑end close with accruals, reporting, and documentation.
Assist with audits by gathering transaction details, backup, and verification.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with procurement, finance, and operations.
Qualifications
7–8 years of Accounts Payable experience (required).
Strong ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JD Edwards, or similar).
High accuracy and attention to detail in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments.
Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables preferred).
Strong problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
