We are partnering with a well‑established organization to identify an Accounts Payable Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in downtown Columbus, OH (parking provided). This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their experience while managing high‑volume transactions, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for coding invoices and verify properly approved, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the day‑to‑day accounts payable function. This position plays a key role in ensuring vendors are paid timely and accurately while supporting accounting and operational teams.
Responsibilities
Process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and attention to detail
Review invoices for proper approval, coding, and compliance with company policies
Resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries in a professional manner
Maintain organized and accurate AP files and records
Assist with month‑end close activities related to accounts payable
Support internal teams with invoice status, documentation, and reporting as needed
Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
At least 1 year of accounts payable experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Strong understanding of AP processes and controls
Experience working with accounting or ERP systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset
Pay Details: $40,000.00 to $44,999.00 per year
