Position: Accounts Payable Associate
Location: East Rutherford, NJ (100% On‑Site)
Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000
About the Role
LHH has partnered with a stable and growing company in East Rutherford, NJ that is seeking a driven Accounts Payable professional to join their accounting team. This is an on‑site role ideal for someone with strong AP experience who is eager to continue building their accounting skillset and grow into a Staff Accountant position over time. You’ll work closely with senior accounting leadership and gain exposure beyond AP, including month‑end activities and general accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
Process full‑cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice review, coding, and posting
Manage vendor setup, payment runs, and resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate AP records and support audits and documentation requests
Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely payments
Assist with month‑end close tasks and reconciliations as your role expands
Support special projects and process improvements within the accounting team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, or related field)
Strong hands‑on experience in Accounts Payable
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Interest in career growth beyond AP into broader accounting responsibilities
