Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a growing corporate office in Phoenix, AZ that is looking for a Full-Time onsite Accounts Payable Specialist. This is a Monday through Friday position $24.00-$27.00 per hour depending on prior experience. 

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and supporting the accounting team with day-to-day accounts payable functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, 10-key, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Review invoices for proper approval, coding, and compliance
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice and payment inquiries
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Perform additional accounting or administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 
• 2+ years of recent accounts payable experience 
• Strong data entry and 10-Key skills with a high level of accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with accounting or ERP system
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
