Accounts Payable Specialist
Contract-to-Hire | Up to $26/hour
Manufacturing / Construction Environment
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a fast‑paced manufacturing or construction organization on a contract‑to‑hire basis. This role requires strong AP fundamentals, experience with SAP or similar AP systems, and the ability to manage high‑volume invoice processing accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Process high‑volume accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
Perform 2‑way and 3‑way invoice matching (PO, invoice, receiving)
Utilize SAP or other AP/accounting software for invoice entry and payment processing
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
Prepare weekly check runs and ACH payments
Maintain organized AP records and ensure compliance with internal controls
Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding payment status
Support month‑end close activities related to AP
Qualifications
2+ years of accounts payable experience
Hands‑on experience with SAP or other AP/accounting software (Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, etc.)
Experience in manufacturing or construction environments strongly preferred
Strong understanding of AP processes and internal controls
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred
Experience with high‑volume AP
Knowledge of job costing or project‑based accounting
Prior contract or contract‑to‑hire experience
Compensation & Details
Up to $26/hour, depending on experience
Contract‑to‑hire opportunity
Full benefits eligibility upon conversion
Pay Details: $23.00 to $26.00 per hour
