LHH is partnering with a small firm to identify a temporary to hire Accounts Payable Specialist. You will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle of accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors. This role is fully onsite in the southwest Seattle, WA area.

Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, verifying coding, approvals, and appropriate documentation.
- Review and reconcile purchase orders, receiving reports, and vendor statements to ensure accuracy of payments.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices, purchase orders, and payments in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs or electronic payments (ACH, wire transfers) in accordance with payment terms and deadlines.
- Maintain vendor records and update vendor information as needed, including W-9 forms and vendor master data in the ERP system.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and address payment-related issues courteously and professionally.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
