About the Opportunity
LHH is working with a well-established real estate/property management company in Teaneck, NJ in their search for a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented AP professional with strong systems experience—especially in Yardi—to take ownership of the full AP cycle in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process for multiple properties/entities
Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently
Review, code, and match invoices to purchase orders and contracts
Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments (checks, ACH, wires)
Maintain vendor records and handle W-9s and 1099 preparation
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Collaborate with property managers and internal departments
Assist with month-end close, including AP accruals and reporting
Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
Qualifications
5+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in real estate or property management
Required: Yardi experience
Strong understanding of AP processes and best practices
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage high-volume workload and meet deadlines
Proficient in Excel and accounting systems
Strong communication and organizational skills
