We're seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst near Novi, MI. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is excited to contribute to process improvement. The AR Analyst will focus on full-cycle receivables management—particularly collections—while supporting cash applications, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Accounting teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and apply incoming customer payments daily, ensuring timely and accurate cash posting

  • Collaborate with internal departments and customer Accounts Payable contacts to resolve discrepancies and billing issues

  • Maintain and update AR aging schedules and collection notes regularly

  • Lead monthly AR reviews with the Sales team to align on open receivables and action plans

  • Assist with month-end close tasks related to AR and revenue reconciliation

  • Navigate customer portals and understand foreign currency transactions and EDI processes

  • Support system and process enhancements by identifying and recommending improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

  • Provide training and coverage for other AR team members as needed

  • Maintain documentation and perform other tasks as directed by AR or Accounting leadership

Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of full-cycle AR experience required, including billing, cash applications, and collections

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and independent approach

  • Comfortable using large ERP systems (experience with JD Edwards preferred; SAP or similar systems acceptable)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel – including pivot tables and XLOOKUPs (or a fast learner with demonstrated tech aptitude)

  • Familiarity with customer portals, EDI reporting, and handling foreign currency transactions is a plus

  • Automotive industry experience is helpful but not required

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy

Pay Details: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour
