Accounts Receivable – Cash Applications Specialist

Our client is a well-established organization within the manufacturing/construction space and is seeking an Accounts Receivable – Cash Applications Specialist to support high-volume payment processing and account reconciliation. This role plays a key part in ensuring payments are accurately applied, discrepancies are researched quickly, and AR balances remain current and accurate.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on cash application experience, strong attention to detail, and comfort working in fast-paced, transaction-heavy environments.
Key Responsibilities
Apply customer payments accurately to open invoices using multiple payment methods (ACH, wires, checks, credit cards, lockbox)
Research and resolve unapplied cash, short pays, overpayments, and discrepancies
Perform daily cash posting and reconciliation against bank activity
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve invoice or payment issues
Assist with account clean-up and aging reconciliation as needed
Maintain detailed documentation and notes within the ERP system
Support month-end close activities related to cash and AR balances
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable with a strong focus on cash applications
Experience in manufacturing or construction environments preferred
Comfortable working with high transaction volume and multiple entities
ERP system experience required (Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
Strong Excel skills for reconciliation and data review
High attention to detail and ability to work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Pay Details: $24.00 to $27.00 per hour
