Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH is assisting a client in Charlotte, NC with their need for a contract to hire Accounts Receivable Specialist. This is a fully onsite opportunity. Please read on for details!
Responsibilities
Generate and issue accurate customer invoices based on shipments, purchase orders, and contract terms.
Apply incoming payments, process credits, and reconcile customer accounts.
Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due balances to support timely collections.
Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, deductions, and customer disputes.
Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, adjustments, and collection activity.
Partner with sales, logistics, and customer service teams to resolve order, pricing, and delivery issues impacting payment.
Assist with credit review support, customer account setup, and maintaining payment terms.
Prepare AR reports including aging, unapplied cash, collection status, and account analysis.
Support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and audit requests.
Help improve AR processes, internal controls, and overall collection efficiency.
Qualifications
2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or collections experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or product-based environment.
Strong understanding of invoicing, cash application, reconciliations, and collections processes.
Experience working with customer purchase orders, shipping documentation, pricing issues, and deductions is preferred.
Proficiency in ERP or accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across departments and with customers.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details: $26.00 to $27.00 per hour
