LHH is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to focus on Cash Application. This position supports the accounts receivable function by processing high-volume data entry and applying customer payments to outstanding balances. The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in transactional work, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $20 and $23/hr.

LHH is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to focus on Cash Application. This position supports the accounts receivable function by processing high-volume data entry and applying customer payments to outstanding balances. The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in transactional work, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $20 and $23/hr.
Job Duties
- Process high-volume data entry of customer payments, invoices, and account updates with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Apply incoming payments to open invoices, ensuring proper matching and timely posting to customer accounts
- Review remittance details and support daily cash posting from multiple payment sources
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, short pays, and payment discrepancies
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate aging, identifying and correcting variances
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are received within terms and follow up on outstanding balances
- Maintain organized records of transactions, payment activity, and account adjustments
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and ensure alignment between invoicing and cash receipts
- Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting support
- Utilize accounting systems and Excel to track, post, and analyze financial data
Qualifications
- 1+ years of accounts receivable, cash application, or high-volume data entry experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of transactional data accurately
- Experience with payment posting, account reconciliation, and account maintenance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
- Ability to research and resolve discrepancies efficiently and professionally
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills for internal coordination and customer follow-up
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
