Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are a staffing firm partnering with a well-established organization in the Cincinnati, OH area to identify an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position is starting on a contract basis with the plan to convert to permanent based on performance. This role will handle day-to-day accounts receivable activities, including billing, cash application, and collections. The ideal candidate will bring a customer-focused mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure timely and accurate receivables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send out customer invoices

• Apply and post customer payments including ACH, wire, checks, and credit cards

• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue balances

• Communicate with customers to resolve billing questions and payment issues

• Research and resolve discrepancies, short payments, and account disputes

• Assist with reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

• At least 2 years of accounts receivable experience

• Solid understanding of invoicing, payments, and collections processes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Professional, customer-focused approach to collections

Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
