Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH is currently partnering with a growing company in Grand Prairie seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced accounting environment and is looking for long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate, research, and resolve payment discrepancies and related concerns
Communicate questionable or high-risk account activity to management
Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding accounts receivable and payments
Maintain accurate and organized AR customer files and records
Assist with audit support, including gathering and extracting required documentation
Support additional duties and special projects as assigned by management
Provide backup support to Cash Application and Credit team functions as needed
Ensure compliance with Accounts Receivable policies, procedures, and internal controls
Perform Branch-level audits, analytics, and reporting while presenting recommendations to management
Additional Responsibilities May Include
Reviewing customer invoices and monthly statements for accuracy
Applying customer payments, including credit card transactions
Contacting customers to resolve payment discrepancies proactively
Reviewing aging reports to identify accounts at risk for delayed or non-payment
Assisting management with customer credit evaluations and credit decisions
Posting daily cash receipts (ACH and checks) with a high degree of accuracy
Reconciling bank statements in partnership with accounting/GL teams
Collaborating cross-functionally with collections, sales, and customers to resolve payment issues
Qualifications
Previous Accounts Receivable or accounting support experience required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Pay Details: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour
